The Brass Spectacle MagazineWe’ve been working hard on bringing our second issue to you, and it’s shaping up to be a good one! We’ve got some great features planned, including: Don’t Shoot The Reviewer, Advertising On A Tight Budget, On Writing-Paranormals and much much more.

We have some great poll questions this issue, so feel free to drop us your answers at submissions@thebrassspectacle.com  This is not limited to authors only, so readers . . . give us what you got!

1) What is the one thing you do every year on Halloween?

2) The oldest ornament on your Christmas tree is. . .?

And of course, we’re always wondering what authors are doing and what they’ve got coming up next.

We’ve also got LOTS of ad space still available, including the addition of inside covers, front and back. So email advertising@thebrassspectacle.com and reserve your ad today.

For those of you who aren’t authors, but still have things to advertise, like your jewelry company, or used books (etc), we’ve got classified ads available. Five dollars will get you a 25 word ad, so if you want to get the word out about your company, your service, your sale and you don’t have a lot of money… what better way to start? Again, contact us at advertising@thebrassspectacle.com

Please feel free to email with any ideas, thoughts or comments you have, because we’d love to publish them in our new Letters To The Editor section.

Welcome Quickie Magazine

July 14, 2008 by moonglade

We are very pleased to announce the newest client of Moonglade. Quickie Magazine will make it’s debut in the late fall of 2008. Moonglade Solutions will be creating and maintaing their website, taking care of their marketing and their advertising department. We are also very pleased to be doing their monthly magazine cover and layout.

Quickie Magazine is currently accepting submissions of quality Romantic Poetry and short Erotic Romance.  We are interested in a Great Story, not just a sex scene.

“Quickies” can be either short and sweet or fast and furious, but they are always mutually satisfying sexual encounters between consenting partners.

Give us a genuine short story that involves a mystery …  a challenge to be overcome … a puzzle that needs to be solved … a supernatural adventure … or a comedy of errors that leaves the reader laughing … wrap it around some really great sex and you’ve got a Quickie!  A happy ending is prefered, although a surprise twist can also be a delight!

8,000 Word Maximum.  We are looking for short stories from 2,000 to 8,000 words in length.  Stories may be contemporary, historic, supernatural/paranormal, mystery/suspence, science fiction, or romantic comedy. We are looking for a sexy romp that leaves the characters completely satisfied — or breathless for more!

We do not accept stories containing pedophelia, necrophelia, bestiality, rape, mutilation, or anything that is severely degrading to the characters.

Payment:  Short Stories $25, Poetry $10.  Paid on publication.

We buy electronic/internet rights and electronic reprint/anthology rights.

We welcome previously unpublished authors.

We now accept online submissions!

All submissions must be sent as a microsoft word attatchment, and be  SINGLE SPACED USING ARIAL 12 POINT TYPE.  Please include STORY TITLE and all CONTACT INFORMATION — NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE AND E-MAIL — at the top of each page of the story.  Check all stories for spelling and grammar.  Enclose all dialogue within double quotes.  Indent the first line of each pargraph three spaces from the left.

E-mail submissions to:

submissions@quickiemagazine.com

If mailing a hardcopy submission you must include a SASE.

Quickie Magazine.
